Choosing a Saint for your Confirmation Name:
 
1) You may retain your present, Baptismal name, if it is a Saint’s name.
    Ex: If your name is Matthew you may choose St. Matthew as your Confirmation Name

 

But you don't have to. You may choose a different saint if you wish. 

2) Choose a Saint name that symbolized a new beginning in your faith life
    and a connection to that particular saint.
