SUMMER CALENDAR

Below you will find the summer calendar of events we are offering for
middle school students, high school students, & their families.
MS = Incoming 6th-9th graders
HS = Incoming 9th-12th grade graduates
(If you are currently in 8th grade you can do both MS & HS activities) 

MAY

23rd - Graduation Mass & Reception (High School Graduates) 
       We welcome all graduating seniors in high school & their families to join us for
       the Graduation Mass at 12pm, followed by a reception in the beach house
       (or Grace Hall depending upon numbers.)
 

12 pm - Graduation Mass (This will be a normal mass with Fr. Spencer recognizing the graduates)

1pm-2pm - Lunch Reception for Graduates & their families.
                During this time the graduate will receive a special blessing, hear a talk, & receive a gift.

 

Note: All Covid procedures will be in place. Masks MUST be worn &
        we will be sitting people 6ft apart from other families.

Please RSVP HERE for the Reception & the number of guests you will bring.

28th - Last Class(es) Luau (ONLY 8th Graders) 
            

         Aloha! Come celebrate the end of middle school at the last class luau!

         There will be snacks, drinks, games, & prizes. Make sure to come dressed in your best Hawaiian
         outfit & get ready to have fun! Bring a blanket or outdoor chair to chill outside. 
         Parents, please consider signing up to help too. RSVP by May 24 

         SIGN UP HERE by May 24th if your child plans to attend.

JUNE

11 - Noodle Wars (MS/HS) 
      1pm-3pm / Beach House & Altar Park
      Yes you read that right, Noodles! Pool Noodles! The first 20 teens who sign up will get a pool
      noodle to decorate & use for all the noodle games.
      If that isn't enough we will have noodles for lunch too!

14-19 - EDGE Camp (MS)     
   All are spots for Edge Camp are full. Don't worry we will be attending next summer too!
 
25 - Surf Retreat Beach Day (HS)
       9am-4pm / Folly Beach (25th Ave)/$30 for those who will be taking a surf lesson.
                                                       Free for anyone who is only coming for a fun beach day.
       We will start the day with 9am Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel
                                                             (106 W Erie Ave, Folly Beach, SC 29439)
       The day will consist of Prayer, Surfing, Beach Fun, Faith Talk, & Free Time.
       WHAT TO BRING? Sunscreen, Towel, Water Bottle, Lunch/Snack, Hat/Sunglasses
       Need a ride? Contact Ashley ASAP!
       The Surf Retreat is put on by Catholic Surfing Ministries

       SIGN UP HERE by Sunday, June 13th, 2021
       If you got a spot under your church you attend:
             Please go HERE to fill out the Diocesan Waiver & pay the $30 cost
                                             (You will be directed to St. Clare's Website) 
             You will then need to print off & fill out the Catholic Surfing Ministries Waiver HERE 
                  Are the spots full? Put yourself on the waitlist.
                  If spots come available we will offer them to whoever is on the waitlist after June 13th.
 
27 - Outdoor Games (MS) 
       4:30pm-6:30pm / Beach House & Altar Park
       Come hang out at the Beach House & play a bunch of outdoor games. We will have ladder golf,
       spike ball, cornhole, & much more. Prizes will be given out too! We will also have burgers &
       hotdogs for dinner as well. Then at 7pm we will go to Mass.

JULY

11: Slurpees & Mini Golf (HS)
    4pm-6pm / 7-11 & Charleston Fun Park / $10
    Meet us at the 7-11 (2972-78, US-17 BUS, Mt Pleasant, SC 29466) or ask Ashley for a ride.
    We will grab Slurpees & head over to Charleston Fun Park for a game of mini-golf.
    Bring $10 to play a game.
    Then we will head back for Mass at 7pm.

18: National Ice Cream Day (MS) 
       4:30pm-6:30pm / Beach House & Altar Park
       It's National Ice Cream Day! Why don't we get together to celebrate? 
       Come have some ice cream & play games

30: Riverdogs Game (Whole Family)
     7pm / Joseph P Riley Jr Park
     This event you must order tickets ahead of time & come together as a family.
     Please no drop-offs. If your child wants to attend but you can't please contact Ashley.

AUGUST

2-7: Life Teen Camp (HS) 
       All are spots for Edge Camp are full. Don't worry we will be attending next summer too!

11: Shark Week Celebration (MS)
     6pm-8pm / Beach House
     Come out to the Beach House as we have a SHARK WEEK Party! Food, Games, & so much more!

15: Movie & Fire Pit Night (HS)
      8pm-10pm / Backyard of the Beach House
      We will have smores, popcorn, drinks & host a backyard movie night.
      Bring a chair or blanket to watch the movie.
      Movie will be decided later.
